Corporate Social Responsibility

The transformation towards a low-carbon and circular economy is one of today’s greatest societal and economic challenges. In this context, Fingal Chamber is committed to promoting local economic development and enhancing the economic prosperity and quality of life across the region, and the Chamber’s Community Forum seeks to create a Fingal which is sustainably developed for the benefit of the people who currently live and work here, and for future generations who will inherit the region.

Community Fund

In 2020, Fingal Chamber has established a ‘Fingal Chamber Community Fund’, financed by supporters and contributions from the Chamber. It aims to support community projects and activities which benefit the citizens of Fingal.

The Community Fund will provide an ongoing structured programme to award grants to approved projects in the Fingal region. The funding is targeted at supporting communities in developing initiatives in a variety of categories such as environmental and sustainability, health and wellbeing, and social inclusion and community development.

Sustainable Business Impact Awards

Fingal Chamber organises the annual Fingal Business Awards to celebrate the best of Fingal business across all business sectors, private, public and charity. One section is dedicated to the Sustainable Business Impact Awards, which recognise the meaningful and high-quality work by companies in their commitment to sustainable policies on the environment, community and workplace issues. This section of the awards is aligned with the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and highlights the important role business plays in working towards achieving our goals in this area by 2030.

Charity Fundraising

Each year Fingal Chamber's Council selects a charity as the beneficiary of the Gala Awards Presentation Evening raffle fundraiser. Generous member businesses regularly donate prizes including airline flights, hotel stays and hampers for the raffle. Photos of recent charity fundraising presentations are below.
