DAA's Transfer Strategy Sees Jump In Passengers Through Dublin AirportAugust 17, 2018
Fingal Dublin Chamber welcomes the continued progress being made in increasing the number of transfer passengers coming through Dublin Airport.
Figures released by Dublin Airport show that there was a 17% increase, to almost 1m passengers, in transfer traffic in the first 7 months of this year versus the same period last year.
According to Fingal Dublin Chamber Chief Executive Anthony Cooney:
"The very strong growth figures for the year to date is further proof of Dublin's standing as an international hub for air travel. Dublin Airport's strategy to get more people to use Dublin as a transfer hub has proven to be a terrific success and is good news not only for Dublin but for Ireland as a whole in that it increases the likelihood of airlines bringing more flights and capacity to Dublin. This improved connectivity helps make Dublin and Ireland a more attractive place to do business in.
With the ever-increasing numbers travelling through Dublin airport it is vital not only for Dublin but for Ireland that the airport has the necessary infrastructure it needs in order to further grow its business to ensure that both the business traveller and tourist alike have a good experience."Contact:David Branagan, Events and Communications Manager086 3498864
