Speaking on the night, Guy Thompson, President, Fingal Dublin Chamber told the assembled gathering “You should be incredibily proud of not only being the finalists here this evening but also for your continued contribution to the success and growth of Fingal.  Your passion for business, innovation, entrepreneurship and enterprise has brought you all here to-night to celebrate excellence in business.”

This is the fourteenth Annual Fingal Business Excellence Awards and these awards are a hallmark of excellence for all businesses in the area. The Chamber Awards recognise and congratulate the business leaders who drive innovative business processes, product development, enterprise, sustainability and overall business success across all sectors.

An esteemed panel of independent judges from Spotcheck assessed the over one hundred companies from around Fingal that made it through to the shortlist stage of the awards. From over two hundred and fifty applications the judges selected the finalists and the winners for the Awards evening. The winners have been chosen for their business accomplishments as well as their dynamism, focus and ethical standards.

There were 23 award winners in total on the night, with Dr David Keenan from Mallinckrodt Pharmaceuticals  the recipient of the JC Savage Fingal Business Person of the Year Excellence Award 2016..

The Chamber Chief Executive, Tony Lambert commented in his speech:

This is the 14th Year of the Awards and in 2002 the Chamber set out to recognise and congratulate companies whose drive and ambition have continued to set higher and higher standards in excellence, innovation and custom care.

You are the Finalists and we congratulate you for your drive and ambition in setting a higher standard again this year. Your standards are the benchmark in business excellence that can be applied not only in the Fingal Region but throughout the country and beyond. You stand out as shining examples to all other businesses and we recognise the commitment, dedication and achievement of the management and staff in your businesses” the CEO told the hundreds of guests.
