Enterprise Ireland is organising a Trade Mission to South Africa and we will be inviting you to join this Mission.
Exports to South Africa from Ireland still continue to grow with exports to South Africa reaching €374 million in 2007, a 20% increase on the previous year. Indigenous exports increased significantly in 2007 and initial indicators confirm that this growth should continue in 2008, reflecting a local economy that, while being affected by the global economic downturn is still growing and a greater awareness of the importance of the market on the side of our Irish client companies. South Africa undoubtedly has the potential to become a significant importer of Irish goods and services.
As part of our efforts to assist Irish companies to develop business in South Africa, Enterprise Ireland has been particularly active in the following sectors.
• Telecoms/ICT
• Financial services
• Public Sector/ Utilities
• Travel/Tourism ( IT for Tourism)
• Construction & engineering services
• Education and Training
In addition to your own business meetings, this Mission will allow you to participate with your key market contacts at business events in Johannesburg.
Furthermore Enterprise Ireland plan to organise in occasion of the Trade Mission two focused sectoral events:
1. A telecom workshop targeted at the South Africa operators (mobile and fixed lines).
2. A financial Services workshop with South African institutions.
Both these sectoral events will provide the opportunities for companies operating in these sectors to present their products / solutions to key potential customers in South Africa.
There will also be Public relations opportunities for Enterprise Ireland clients (e.g. contract signings etc.) during the Business Mission.

Participation Fee
The participation fee for Enterprise Ireland clients will be €300 plus 21.5% VAT per company. The participation fee for non Enterprise Ireland clients will be €600 plus 21.5% VAT per company.
The participation fee includes:
Business networking event in Johannesburg (Participants may nominate up to 4 key contacts to attend in each location.)
Company profile in Trade Mission Brochure
Organizational and Logistical support
Negotiated Corporate Rates in Hotels in Johannesburg
Informal end of Mission event
Additional costs for Participants
Hotel accommodation in South Africa
On the ground expenses e.g. taxis, meals etc
Flights (Enterprise Ireland will recommend flights shortly)
Miscellaneous costs
