Information Seminars
in relation to the Export Control System and EORI and consequential changes to the AEP System
THE INFORMATION BELOW SHOULD BE BROUGHT TO THE ATTENTION OF THE RELEVANT PERSONS DEALING WITH CUSTOMS RELATED MATTERS
The AEP system which was introduced in June 2007 will be used as the platform for a number of projects which are due to be introduced. The projects, which are on the eCustoms Programme will see changes to the information sent to Revenue in respect of imports and exports. It is imperative that all those involved in the importation and exportation of goods (DTI Traders, Agents, Importers, Exporters and Software Providers to the Trading community) be aware of the changes and challenges that lie ahead.
To this end Revenue has arranged a number of information seminars for those involved in international trading. These seminars will address changes to the AEP SAD processing system as a result of the introduction of the Export Control System and the Economic Operator Registration and Identification System (EORI) on 1st July 2009. The introduction of both these systems will have a significant impact and it is important that you are aware of their implications.
