The annual Fingal Dublin Chamber Mid-Summer Bbq was held recently in the Penthouse in the Wright Venue in Swords.
Cllr. Daragh Butler, mayor of Fingal, Darragh O’Brien T.D., senator James Reilly, cllr. Joe Newman and Fingal County Council Chief Executive Paul Reid were among the many special who where welcomed by chamber president Guy Thompson
Mayor Butler who was attending his first chamber event since being elected mayor was delighted to be present and looked forward to working closely with the chamber during his year as mayor
There was a great turnout of chamber members from across a wide range of business sectors
President Guy Thompson assured the members and the council that the Fingal Dublin Chamber is fully commited to ensuring that the businesses in Fingal take every opportuinity to capitalise on any potential for increased business activity in the region.
“The chamber has had a very impressive start to this year with growing numbers of businesses joining us - our membership numbers are at their highest since the chamber was founded in 1994. Our events are very well supported and we are looking forward to a very busy second half of the year with many exciting developments planned” said guy.
“One event in particular which is always a great success is the Annual Fingal Dublin Chamber Business Excellence & CSR Awards which will be launched in August with the Gala Awards Evening on Friday 11th November. We anticipate a larger number of entries this year for these special awards. Tickets are already being reserved.”
