Fingal Dublin Chamber in association with Chambers Ireland
recently launched an initiative to assist affiliated chamber
members in the increasingly difficult business area of human
resources management. (HRM)
In partnership with Peninsula Business Services, Chamber
HR is now available to all chamber members.
Though it provides many varying services, Chamber HR’s
primary objective is the prevention of problems in the HRM
area, including breaking down and explaining the often difficult-to-understand
world of employment legislation and employers liabilities.
Depending on the level of service a company opts for it can
receive:
- 24-hour a day, 365-days a year HRM advice line
- An indemnification against the negative financial costs
of resisting a claim in the Employment Appeals Tribunal
or Labour Relations Commission as well as an indemnity against
having to pay possible awards that can be made against the
respondent
- A full face to face consultation service, which includes
a comprehensive management control providing staff contracts
of employment, employee handbooks for all staff, employer’s
references and all recording documentation, as well as full
training for the nominated users of the system
- Continuous updates on new EU and Government legislation
in the area of HRM.

Peter Done concludes. “The CCI doesn’t offer a
HRM consultancy service at the moment so it is a great thing
to introduce. The ideal aspect of this system is how flexible
it is. The Seven different options available mean all companies,
no matter what their budget or circumstances, can benefit
from some part of this service, which is exclusive to chamber
members”
