Marty Whelan is admired and respected throughout Irish broadcasting for his affable personality and his effortless style. Marty spent five years working in an insurance company before he made the break into radio in 1979. That was the year RTÉ launched its pop radio station Radio 2, now 2FM, and Marty quickly won over large audiences for shows such as Drivetime and Marty till Midnight. Rounding off his experience in daytime radio, Marty even spent three years presenting 2FM's Breakfast Show.

Marty was hugely popular with award winners and all attendees at last years Fingal Business Awards and will be warmly welcomed back again this year.

Marty lives in Portmarnock in North Dublin with his wife Maria and his two children Jessica and Thomas.
