Dublin Airport facilitated more than 23.2 million passengers used Dublin Airport in 2007, a 10% increase over the previous year.  This passenger growth is set to continue with a further 1.5 million passengers expected to travel in 2008.

T his year airport users will see the landscape of the airport change dramatically as work continues apace on T2, Pier E and associated works. Already many changes have taken place to realign the internal airport roads in preparation for our new terminal.  Facilitating this essential work while ensuring absolute minimum impact on our airport customers will be a challenge as we embark on our busiest Summer ever.    During the peak construction months more than 4,000 construction workers will be on the T2 site.

While this work is continuing further capacity measures are being put in place as work begins on a 7,500 sq metres extension to the existing terminal building.  This project will be completed by the Summer of 2009 providing additional space and retail opportunities for passengers.

Elsewhere, behind the scenes major work is continuing on a three-year programme aimed at delivering extra aircraft stands and taxiways.  The largest project onsite is Apron 6 delivering the equivalent of 40 times the capacity of Croke Park in concrete for new aircraft parking stands.

Again, our emphasis is on providing improved customer services and a quality airport experience for all airport users, especially during the busy Summer months.  In this context much work has been done to improve upon our processes and standards.

As a Chamber Patron, Dublin Airport is delighted to recognise and award outstanding Customer Services in the Tourism/Leisure industry in the Fingal area.
