FAS Services to Business Unit – Dublin Region
– are pleased to be associated with Fingal Dublin Chamber of Commerce Fingal Business Excellence Awards
2007. In particular, FAS is delighted to have the opportunity
to sponsor the Human Resources Development Award.
Human Resource Development is one of the key drivers
of business success. Nationally and internationally,
companies are increasingly looking to human capability
development as a means of achieving sustainable competitive
advantage and are investing in upgrading the skills
of management and employees. In the current economic
environment, with skill and labour shortages emerging
in many sectors, a focused strategy of continuous investment
in best management practices together with up-skilling
for all staff can result in productivity improvements
and a better ability to recruit and retain people of
the right calibre. This is key to greater profit and
sustainable growth.
Some of the FAS services available to businesses are
the
Standards-based-Apprenticeship
Excellence Through People (ETP) standard in HR development,
Labour market services and Employer assistance for people
with disabilities,
Net-college life long learning opportunities provided
on the internet and
Competency Development Programme (CDP).
