The Pavilions Shopping Centre at Swords,
opened in May 2001, is one of Ireland’s best known
and visited retail developments. The centre currently
comprises 32,000 sq. m. and is anchored by Dunnes Stores,
Superquinn, TK Maxx and Argos. It also includes high
profile and popular stores such as Mango, Pamela Scott,
A-Wear, Sasha and Jack & Jones, creating a vibrant
retail mix.
The Pavilions has recently been acquired by Chartered
Land, controlled by Joe O’Reilly, for about €575
million, representing the largest single transaction
in the history of the state. This sale was officially
recognised as Ireland’s Property Deal of the Year
at the recent 2006 Annual Property Awards.
The Pavilions Phase 2 marks a new era for the centre,
an enrichment of its highly successful offer which will
further enhance North Dublin’s most exciting shopping
destination. Upon completion in 2007 Phase 2 will add
an additional 16,000 sq. m. of retail and leisure space,
including the recently opened 11-screen Movies@ Swords

international retail brands have already expressed interest
in becoming part of the Pavilions success story. A further
